This land has been in my family for over 50 years, woven into the fabric of our history and our future. This is where I was raised. In November of 2021, Tysin and I moved out here after spending the first two years of our marriage living in town. We chose to plant our roots where so many memories had already been made. We’ve always known this was home. Even after we lost our first home, there was never a question of whether we would stay—we knew we would rebuild, right here, in the same place.

This land is more than dirt and trees. It’s a part of us. And as we build again, we aren’t just creating a home—we’re shaping a legacy.

Rooted in Purpose

Our vision for this land is simple: to steward it well, to care for it as God intended, and to create a home that nourishes both body and soul. We want a place where our family can thrive, where slow living is the norm, and where the beauty of God’s creation is always at the center.

This land will be a place of provision—a homegrown garden and animals to tend to. It will be a place of refuge—where the rush of the world fades and peace fills the air. And it will be a place of legacy—a foundation we lay now so that future generations will know the joy of a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and the land.

What We’re Building

Right now, we are still in the beginning stages, but we have a vision for what this land will become.

A House That Feels Like Home
We are making our house a place of warmth and welcome—a place where the kitchen always smells of fresh bread, where laughter is heard through open windows, and where family and friends always have a seat at the table.

A Thriving Garden
The land has provided for our family for years, and we plan to continue that tradition. We want a garden full of nutrient-dense food, fresh herbs, and beautiful flowers. A greenhouse where we can extend our growing season. Fruit trees that will take time to mature but will one day provide abundance. The work we put in now will bless us for years to come.

Animals to Tend To
We hope to raise animals that not only provide for our family but also teach us patience and responsibility. These animals will be woven into our daily lives, reminding us that hard work and care always bring rewards.

An Apothecary for Healing
My apothecary is already a cherished part of our home—a space where I create herbal remedies to support our family’s health. As time goes on, I hope to continue growing it, offering more to our community and deepening my knowledge of God’s medicine. There’s something sacred about using the gifts He’s given us to bring healing, and I pray this space continues to serve that purpose.

A Life Lived Outside
We want our days to be marked by fresh air and movement—morning walks across the pasture, meals enjoyed on the porch, and evenings spent watching the sunset. We want Samson to grow up with dirt on his hands and wonder in his heart, knowing that creation itself speaks of God’s glory.

A Legacy for Generations

This land isn’t just for us—it’s for Samson, for his children, and any other children and grandchildren that we may have. We want them to grow up knowing the value of hard work, the peace of a life close to the land, and the joy of living simply and intentionally.

One day, when they’re grown, we hope they’ll look at this land and see more than just a home. We want them to see the love, prayers, and devotion poured into every corner of it. We want them to know that this life wasn’t built overnight—it was cultivated over time, with faith as the foundation.

Holding It All in God’s Hands

As much as we plan and dream, we know that God is the one guiding it all. “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)

This land belongs to Him first, and we are simply its stewards. Our prayer is that it will always be a place of refuge—a place where people feel welcomed, where meals are shared, and where God’s presence is felt in every sunrise, every harvest, and every quiet moment spent in His creation.

We don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we know who holds it. And as we continue building this homestead, we trust that He will guide each step, just as He has from the very beginning.
